Introducing the iGeo 2026 team
Presenting our geographical star students for the world stage!
Australia has announced the elite team of four students set to compete at the 2026 International Geography Olympiad (iGeo) in Istanbul, Türkiye, this August.
Following standout performances in the Australian Geography Competition and a rigorous selection intensive in Jindabyne and Canberra, these students will represent the nation on the global stage:
- Angus Mackay – Canberra Grammar School, ACT
- Rob Davison – Hale School, WA
- Lucy Ma – Lauriston Girls’ School, VIC
- Zoe Muller – The Riverina Anglican College, NSW
The iGeo brings together the world’s brightest 16-to-19-year-olds to tackle written exams, multimedia challenges, and complex fieldwork exercises. This prestigious opportunity is supported by the Australian Government Department of Education and leading universities nationwide.
