We are very pleased to share Volume 37 of Geographical Education. The full edition, and individual articles, are available for download below.
In this volume, editor Dr Jeana Kriewaldt writes about current initiatives impacting on the teaching of geography and their implications for the future, including the revolutionary change that generative AI is having on the work of teachers and educators. An article by Nick Hutchinson will be of particular interest to those with an interest in Australian history and race and racism in Australia, reflecting the interdisciplinary importance of geography. Alaric Maude also contributes an article on why human wellbeing should be a core concept in school geography, again broadening the conversation about how geography can contribute to a multifaceted approach to teaching. Finally, Jeana Kriewaldt, along with Shu Jun Lee and Lucy Robertson have written about fieldwork and pose the question as to whether students are getting enough.
